Aikande is a political scientist with experience in multidisciplinary research and consulting. Her areas of interest include political economy analysis, people-centered development, social movements and policy analyses. Aikande is a frequent speaker on Tanzanian affairs and a published author, including Religion and British Development Policy and co-author of Pragmatic Faith and the Tanzanian Lutheran Church. She was an honorary research fellow in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Madison-Wisconsin and is currently a senior research consultant at Bumaco, a management consultancy in Tanzania.
Coy spent more than ten years developing EFTA, a regulated financial institution providing unique solutions for equipment finance for SMEs and agri-businesses. He is a co-founder of Equity for Africa Group. Prior to his time in East Africa, Coy spent close to ten years as a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG in Europe and the US where he worked in transaction services and buy-side due diligence, as well as the advisory practice with a focus on accounting, internal controls and SEC matters. Coy has been a featured speaker and guest lecturer at venues such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group, FAO, INSEAD, Grow Africa, FMO and the University of Zürich. Coy enjoys writing, playing music and spending time with his family.
Dan has over 35 years’ experience in international finance, latterly as Head of Finance at Equity for Tanzania, working with Coy. Prior to this Dan worked in London in investment banking largely focused on structured financing solutions for international companies. Dan has had a strong interest in East Africa since living in Tanzania as a boy, initially indulging this interest though voluntary project work for a UK NGO focusing on village projects in rural areas. Dan enjoys managing his smallholding, playing golf and studying East African history.
Christopher Giattas is the Founding Partner at Kilindu Giattas and Partners (KGP) and a registered advocate of the High Court of Tanzania.
